The three levels of funding that can be included in your plans as Transport Allowance, a core support is:<\/p><ul><li>Level 1. If you don\u2019t work, study, or attend day programs but want to increase your community access<\/li><li>Level 2. If you do work or study for less that 15 hours a week or attend day programs<\/li><li>Level 3. If you spend more that 15 hours per week at work, studying or seeking employment.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a1b4db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0a1b4db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>IS TRAVELLING WITH A SUPPORT WORKER INCLUDED AS AN NDIS SUPPORT?<\/h2><p><br \/>The <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"https:\/\/healthcarerequest.com.au\/ndis\/ndis-basics\/\">NDIS can also provide funding<\/a><\/span> to pay a Healthcare Request support worker to drive you or accompany you out. This can include things like medical appointments, shopping trips or social events. This funding is included in your plan as Assistance with <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"https:\/\/healthcarerequest.com.au\/ndis\/social-community\/\">Social and Community Participation<\/a><\/span> which is also a core support.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>This type of travel support is charged at an agreed hourly rate which includes the total time the Healthcare Request support worker is with you on the outing as well as the time it takes for the worker to travel to and from your residence.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>You will also need to cover additional travel costs such as fuel, parking costs, road tolls or tickets to use public transport.<br \/><br \/><\/p><h2>HOW DO NDIS PARTICIPANTS ACCESS SPECIALISED VEHICLES?<\/h2><p>If your disability requires you to access a specialised or modified vehicle, the NDIS may be able to help pay for modifications. Funding will only be provided when it is seen as value for money \u2013 i.e., if there is a less costly but equally effective alternative available.
